The City of San Antonio is seeking applicants to fill an unexpired Council Term for City Council District 3. Interested individuals can obtain an application and financial disclosure statement in person at the Office of the City Clerk, located on the second floor of City Hall, 100 Military Plaza, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Applications and financial disclosure statements can be obtained electronically by visiting http://www.sanantonio.gov/clerk/.
Completed applications with supporting documentation and financial disclosure statements will be accepted until Friday, Jan. 6, 2012 at 5 p.m. in the Office of the City Clerk.
Please note that City Hall Offices will be closed Monday, Dec. 26, 2011 through Friday, Dec. 30, 2011 and, therefore, no applications will be accepted during that timeframe.
Qualified applicants must be a United States citizen, be at least 18 years of age, and be a registered voter for the City of San Antonio. Additionally, qualified applicants must have lived in City Council District 3 for at least six months and in San Antonio for at least one year prior to filing an application.
The City Council will review applications on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012 at the "B" Session scheduled to be held at 2 p.m. in the "B" Room of the Municipal Plaza Building, 114 W. Commerce St. The City Council will vote to fill the vacancy at the Regular Council Meeting on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012 at 9 a.m. in the Council Chambers, also located at 114 W. Commerce St.
